Birds race from Lascelles

CAMPERDOWN Pigeon Club raced birds from Lascelles last week.

The birds were taken to Warrnambool the night before by Jamie Shepherd and Warrnambool Club released the birds the next morning.

This race was won by Graeme McKenzie with one of his birds arriving home to the loft in three hours, 17 mins and five seconds.

Results:1st G. and S. McKenzie (velocity 1496.05 m/mins), 2nd Rex Perkins (velocity 1331.30 m/mins), 3rd Mark Kavanagh (Velocity 1422.22 m/mins).

Another race from Lascelles will be held this weekend, with birds racing from Mildura the week after.
