Cool day for golf

OVERCAST and cool conditions greeted golfers on the Mortlake greens last Saturday.

Eleven players contested a stableford on the blue course.

A grade was won by Richard Van Diemen (18) 39 points from Rob Field (13) 33 on countback.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 Steve Hubbard and 9/18 James Gill.

Balls down the line went to Steve Hubbard, Dougal Ranken and Sam Gervasoni.

This weekend will be the third round of club championships (stroke) and Sunday (May 24) will be the final round of the club championships.
