Cycling stars rewarded
LAST Thursday marked the final race of the summer series for the Camperdown Cycling Club.

All riders competed in their age groups over the six kilometre course.
First place winners each received a blue Camperdown Cycling sash.
The age group champions for the 2024/25 summer series were Oliver (under 19 male), Thea (under 19 female), Josh (under 17 male), Ava (under 17 female), Nathaniel (under 15 male), Rieley (under 13 male) and Izzy (under 13 female).
The inaugural annual Saul Pasque award, ‘Race Your Own Dream,’ was presented to Josh.
Josh has had a stellar year with personal bests and has worked hard over the 2024 winter to show progress this season.
The club has held the Saul Pasque race close to its heart.
When it was time to call the race ‘done’ the Pasque family wanted to continue their son and brother’s link to the club.
At the club’s break-up celebrations, Barb, Nina and Cain introduced the next generation of Camperdown Cycling members to Saul’s journey, supporting the club and his racing accomplishments.
The new-look Saul Pasque Award will support a Camperdown Cycling junior rider to attend larger events and give them a helping hand to develop their cycling.
The club’s aggregate winner was Nathaniel, who has had a great season creating PBs and placing highly throughout the season.
The season will recommence on the next daylight savings weekend.
Those keen to join the fun are encouraged to keep an eye on the club’s social posts.
