Member for Wannon Dan Tehan expressed his frustration last week after a campaign trailer was vandalised in Port Fairy overnight on Friday, February 28.

Corflute signage was ripped from the trailer, in addition to the license plate being spray painted and a tyre being punctured.

In a statement, Mr Tehan said seeing such wilful damage was a first for him.

“In every campaign I’ve been in, I’ve never seen deliberate damage to property like this,” he said.

“It has been reported to the police and I would just ask that everyone respect people’s right to voice an opinion during the forthcoming election.”

The vandalism included a punctured tyre.
