Low rainfall
DROUGHT conditions persist across the region as the daily rainfall tally for March has fallen well below the recorded long-term average, although increasing from the total recorded daily rainfall in February this year.

Most days over the month didn’t record any rainfall at all, with only seven days recording at least 02.mm of rain.
This time last year, however, was even drier, with only 5mm of rain recorded in Cobden during March in 2024.
With the March daily rainfall long-term average sitting at 48mm, last month fell short of delivering some much-needed rain for the region.
