Pestka and Pitcher take flags at Simpson
ACTION returned to the Simpson Speedway last weekend when the 360LS Sprintcars, Super Rods and Street Stocks returned to the clay.
Spectators were treated to an action-packed program on Saturday night, with one of the highlights for the Super Rods the hotly contested Snoopy Slam.
Always a crowd pleaser, Jacob Pitcher took the chequered flag in the A Main, closely followed by Shaun Walsh and Stan Marco Jnr.
In the 360LS, drivers were eager to get their hands on the $10,000 first place prize money, with the 35-lap feature race proving a spectacle.
South Australian Daniel Pestka was always in the hunt and made a bold move on lap 25 and held on to take the chequered flag from Olive and local Matt Symons.
Simpson Speedway will again light up next month, when the Speedcars contest the Victorian title, Super Rods race for honours in the Trevor Podger Memorial and the Wingless category also add to the night’s program.
