Premiership reunion this weekend
FORMER premiership players and life members are invited to a special reunion at the Cobden Cricket Club this weekend.

The Knights will celebrate all former premierships, both senior and junior, at the Cobden clubrooms from 4pm on Saturday.
Life members are also welcome to join in the reunion celebrations.
Historic memorabilia, trophies and premiership photos will be on display during the day, with the opportunity to watch the division one clash between the Knights and Ecklin from 2.30pm.
The afternoon will provide a great opportunity to celebrate everything that has made the club what it is today as well as acknowledging the fantastic premiership successes of the club's senior and junior grades across different generations.
Cobden was a dominate ‘A grade’ side for a 20 year golden era (1980-2000) where 13 premierships were won including two in the Colac association while winning seven ‘A Reserve’ and ‘B Grade’ flags in the same period.
Meanwhile the club has placed high priority on providing the best opportunity and development across junior grades highlighted by the amount of under 16/Colts premierships have won since 2000 (11 flags).
This sustained success wouldn’t be possible without the likes of Peter Rock, Neal Simmonds and David Hallyburton who helped nurture the next generation of Cobden premiership players.
