Presentations for little aths
CAMPERDOWN Little Athletics Centre has held its annual presentation night.

Last Friday night saw a variety of awards presented, bringing to an end the 2024/25 season.
The 14-week season saw 108 athletes registered for the Friday night competition, along with Monday night trainings.
Only one rain-out night resulted in 1272 personal bests recorded for the season.
There were many outstanding records set at the centre this season.
Congratulations to the following athletes:
Darcy Hutton, under 16 (70m) – old record 9.17 in 2022/23, new record on November 8, 2024 of 8.85.
Philippa Kempton, under 16 (1500m) – old record March 2008 of 6.32.74, new record on October 25, 2024 of 6.14.62.
Reiley Beames, under 16 (800m) – old record on March 31, 2.24.17, new record on November 29, 2024 of 2.23.90.
Reiley Beames, under 16 (800m) – old record on November 29, 2024 of 2.23.90, new record on February 21 of 2.22.90.
Many athletes also represented Camperdown at the Western Country Region cross-country, relay, and track and field carnivals.
Fifteen athletes went on to represent the centre at state championship level.
Congratulations also to Sienna Anderson, Pippa Murphy and Zoe Unwin who were each recognised for seven years’ attendance.
Congratulations to all award winners, including female volunteer of the year Laura Woodmason and male volunteer of the year, Robert Menzies.
Other awards were presented as follows:
Girls’ shield – Zoe Unwin; boys’ shield – Will Smith and Charlie Unwin.
Junior encouragement awards – Luca Unwin and Lenny Bourke. Both enjoyed a 100 per cent attendance, and attended the Monday afternoon training session every week (and were always happy to help set up and pack up each Friday night).
