MONTHS of hard work will culminate in the Cobden Uniting Church (UC) Art Group’s Art Show this April.
Over 100 works of art completed by 14 members of Cobden UC Art Group will be on display at the Cobden Uniting Church Hall on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6 between 10am and 4pm.
“The artworks were created by members who come from towns including Peterborough, Port Campbell, Timboon, Jancourt, Glenfyne, Cobden, Simpson and Camperdown,” Cobden UC Art Group member Marilyn Kimber said.
“The artworks include acrylics, water-colours, pastels, drawings, mixed medium and handmade cards.
“There will be plenty of artworks to purchase with both EFTPOS and cash accepted.
“Entry is just $5 for adults and kids are free with refreshments included in the cost.”
A special part of the Art Show this year is a display of artwork by children from Cobden Kindergarten.
“The children from the kindergarten are learning about ‘The Community’ so being part of an art show is giving them the opportunity to connect with a Cobden community group,” Mrs Kimber said.
“The Cobden UC Art Group and Cobden Kindergarten encourages everyone to come and visit the art show.
“We have put in a lot of effort to provide residents far and wide with an array of art, which we hope visitors will enjoy.”
