Tigers halted by heat

WHILE Simpson’s premier division cricket team had the bye on Saturday, the Tigers division two and three teams had their matches abandoned due to the heat.

This Saturday, 13th placed Simpson play third placed Birregurra at Birregurra in round 12 of the premier competition.

In division two, Simpson play Carlisle River at Carlisle River, while the division three Tigers will host Colac at the Simpson Recreation Reserve.

The Colac District CA under 14 boys has been split into two divisions for the remainder of the season, Simpson will participate in division one alongside Irrewarra Black, Irrewarra Red, Colac, Stoneyford and Birregurra.

The under 14 Tigers resume on Friday night when they travel to Pirron Yallock to play Stoneyford.

Simpson’s women’s team return after the Christmas break on Sunday with a match against Birregurra at Birregurra.
